This is a case study that presents the process of designing a responsive website for an art gallery. The study starts from clarifying the problem, conducting user research, and progressing to a high-fidelity prototype, followed by the next steps to be taken.
The responsive website is designed to provide comprehensive information about the art gallery, facilitate event reservations, and deliver other useful functions that meet user needs and address their pain points.
(* I have also created another design of an art history app, but both of them are intended to meet different needs of users.)
Project Overview
A digital platform inform users the information of the art gallery and offer a reservation to events.
Build a convenient digital platform for providing information about the art gallery including the introduction of the art gallery and the latest information about their exhibitions and events.
In addiction, the digital platform should provide a reservation service.
This is my individual project to present my design thinking process as a UX design student.
Empathize the users
Analyze data
Build persona
Create user journey and story
Create wireframe
Prototype and mockup
Conduct usability study etc.
Users need a convenient way to receive the latest information about the art gallery. As the people in the city are busy and often need to attend art events. The art gallery frequently launches the art exhibitions and events.
The gallery should promote the latest information in a timely manner.
Some visitors didn’t have access to visit exhibitions or events because they didn’t know the opening hours or participation quota.
